2023 WWBA Workout Showcase (Wed)
Stephen Furia is a 2025 OF/RHP, C, 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Coatesville, PA who attends Downingtown West Campus. Medium, lean frame with a high waist and long levers. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, charges in hard and fields the ball with one hand on the side of the frame, clean transfer, full arm swing to a high release and good arm strength, recorded throws up to 89 mph. Game like type workout, tons of things to project on. Also worked out in the infield, showed fundamental footwork getting to the spot, hitchy arm action, higher release point and throws come out of the hand well with good carry to the bag. Has a solid idea with the glove and moves around with obvious athleticism, recorded throws across up to 86 mph. Right-handed hitter, slightly open and even base, high hands set in the stance, knee lift trigger stride, good separation in the hands. Downhill path through the zone, slightly late getting the foot down but has solid hand speed and easy to project on the power. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
