Major Dwyer is a 2020 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Randolph HS. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary second baseman with compact, deliberate footwork while working to the baseball. Developing glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Released from a three-quarters arm slot creating occasional carry across the infield at 72 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and large leg lift trigger. Stays on back side throughout and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended path the contact with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed developing feel for the barrel throughout the zone while utilizing a mid field approach. Also pitched showing a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Released from a lower three-quarters arm slot creating some natural cut to glove side in the low to mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Breaking ball created slurvy shape to glove side with looser spin in the low to mid 60's. Consistently located fastball within the zone and challenged hitters.
