2020 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Travis Leatherwood is a 2021 1B/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Catonsville, MD who attends Mount Saint Joseph. Recorded a 7.48 second 60-yd dash time. Long, lanky build with plenty of room to fill out. Primary first basemen with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set and developing arm strength. Shows ability to stay low into fielding operation with clean funnel and transfer. Utilized a short, quick arm stroke to record throws up to 75 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Left-handed hitter that starts slightly open while using a high hand set and high back elbow. Flashed ability to impact baseball with quick hands and some present power when he gets extended. Used direct path with some whip to his barrel to stay through the middle of the field during round. Will continue to improve with added strength and harnessing of consistent swing mechanics.
