Nathan Maas is a 2021 RHP/3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Soquel, CA who attends Soquel. Large to Extra-Large frame with a lean build. Shows room to fill out physically, making him projectable. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a belt high lift. Free and easy arm action as he released from a high three-quarter slot. Did a good job getting over the front side as he pounded the zone. Balanced and repeatable throughout the operation as he kept it simple. Pitchability showing and has huge upside on the mound. Fastball up to 87 mph with good arm side run. Also mixed in a late fading changeup that is a swing and miss type pitch as he tunnels it very well off the fastball. Proved to have feel to spin a breaking ball as well with late sweep to it. Outstanding Student. Named to California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
