Morgan Carruthers is a 2022 RHP/C/IF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Willis, TX who attends Homeschool. Larger frame with long levers and present strength. Still plenty of time to fully mature physically. Primary right-handed pitcher with a fairly simple operation; uses a simple side step into balance with slight back turn towards second and efficient movements down the slope. Works from a high 3/4 's arm slot with short, rigid arm circle on the backside while displaying some arm side run through the zone. Curveball is secondary at present, generating regular swing and miss with true downer action and depth through the zone. Repeats delivery well, shows ability to command both halves of the plate with current arsenal. Secondary third baseman with anticipatory actions into and during the fielding process. Long strider with cautious approach, bends at the wait which causes slightly deeper funnel and elongated transfer process. Showed developing arm strength, recording throws up to 76 MPH across the diamond. Right-handed hitter; spread out, even stance with a simple leg lift trigger, rotational lower half mechanics and high back elbow. Middle-of-the field approach with uphill barrel plane and some strength in his hands. Plenty of projection remaining with upside on the mound. Good Student.
