Neil Tian is a 2021 OF/2B/SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood. Recorded a 7.17 second sixty-yard dash time. Slender build with plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder with an aggressive approach; fields it clean off to the side with a small crow hop into release. Shows developing arm strength with accurate throws and fair amount of carry to bags. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set; uses quick, choppy feet to field out in front with rigid hands. Fairly decent transfers, working into a segmented arm action that produced accurate throws recorded up to 77 MPH across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a spread, slightly crouched stance; Uses a big leg lift trigger and deep hand load to get to launch, well-engaged lower half weight shift with line drive swing plane. Middle of the field approach with occasional pull-side pop when hips are able to fully clear. Excellent Student.
