Cameron Calvillo is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Castro Valley, CA who attends Castro Valley. Medium frame with some strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.19 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, reads hops well and moves around the infield with good intent, works to the bag while coming through the ball and showed solid low-80s arm strength across. Also pitches, is confident with his mix and gets down the mound well with good extension over his front side; uses a quick to generate good life on the fastball into the mid-80s and showed a very good breaking ball with tight spin and good depth to go with a mid-70s changeup. Right-handed hitter, has really quick hands with some strength to them; repeats his swing well and finds the barrel at a good rate while exploding through impact and generating hard line drive contact to the pull side part of the field. Good student. Named to 2021 March Northern California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
