Primary middle infielder, showed the ability to make the routine plays. Displayed good footwork with a quick transition, moved well laterally and has a strong arm. Was clocked up to 80 mph on throws across the infield. Also worked out in the outfield, came to the ball well, fielded the ball out in front with good footwork and a quick transition. Was clocked up to 84 mph on throws from the outfield. From the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot, pounded the zone and attacked hitters early. Has a slow deliberate delivery, really drives off that back leg, The fastball sat 75-81 mph, mixed in a curveball that sat 64 mph with late break. At the plate, switch hitter, hits from a balanced slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Consistently hit the ball on a line up the middle. Great student. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
