2022 Western Pennsylvania Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Greyson Kovatch is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Glenmoore, PA who attends Downingtown West Campus. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright open stance with a high hand load, loads to his back side but gets to his front side well at contact, gets good lower half rotation, swings hard and with strong intent, can over swing at times, plenty of present bat speed and the ball comes off the barrel hard and loud when squared up, has gap to gap juice. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Comes through the ball well with good footwork and glove positioning, transitions into his throws well, makes accurate on line throws, strong fundamental and athletic base on defense. Also took a turn on the mound, works from a high leg lift delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, has some deception in his delivery with the athleticism to repeat. Fastball was in the mid-80's and topped out at 86 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life. Threw both a slider with good sharpness down in the zone and a slower downer curveball with separation between each, also mixed in some change ups. Two-way prospect with lots of mound talent to develop. Very good student. Named to the Western Pennsylvania Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
