Jack Weaver is a 2021 SS/2B, IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Woodland Hills, CA who attends El Camino Real High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, can incorporate additional lower half into actions, funnels into a compact and short arm action, can drop slot and throw from multiple slots, occasionally opens front side early, around the bag with throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a tall and narrow start, high hand set and back elbow away from body; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Long swing path through the zone with a linear swing plane, short shift through lower half with looseness to actions in the box. Hands work well in swing, shows a handle for the barrel, projects well with added strength. Good student.
