Austin Keefer is a 2022 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-1 181 lb. frame from North East, MD who attends North East. Recorded a 5.29 second forty-yard dash. The primary third baseman fields the ball out front creating some angles with a quick transfer into a long arm action accurately throwing the ball across the diamond at 78 mph. Secondary right handed pitcher from the stretch only has a high handset and a controlled leg lift as he rides the back leg down the slope with good extension to the plate. Keefer has a high three-quarter arm slot and is mechanically sound as he is developing a release point. Also taking ground balls in the infield showcased good arm speed and strength throwing 81 mph across the diamond. The right handed hitter steps in the box and hits with a wide and even stance, high hands, and a low elbow set. With a short leg lift trigger, he loads the backside and rocks forward with good barrel control as he is developing backspin on the ball. Great student.
