2022 WWBA West Workout Showcase (July 15)
Trey Mitchell is a 2025 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Elk Ridge, UT who attends Salem Hills. Features a medium build with some strength present. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Caught the ball clean throughout defensive drills, staying down on ground balls well. Moves well laterally with sound footwork. Accurate with most throws. Showed the ability to throw from multiple slots. Threw 76 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a narrow base with a high back elbow setup. Gets separated well using a moderate leg kick timing mechanism. Showcased quick bat speed on a slightly lofted path. Approach is geared toward middle-to-pullside. Flashed some feel for the barrel with that ability to drive the ball with some authority at times. Good student.
