Reed Schaefer is a 2021 LHP/ with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Desert Oasis. Large frame with longer limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a side set to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with front side and carries momentum well. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well creating occasional run with downhill tilt in the low to mid 80's, topped at 85 mph. Curveball had 2/7 shape with looser spin and some depth to glove side. Primarily looked to attack the strike zone and work ahead of hitters. Excellent student. Named to the 2019 West Academic Showcase, Top Prospect List.
