Brandon Crabtree is a 2023 3B/RHP, MIF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Pittsboro, NC who attends Grace Christian School. Large, square shouldered frame with some present strength throughout and additional room to fill. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, tends to wait back on ball, shows balance when underway, hands play nicely to the backhand, showed ability drop slot up the middle on throws, accurate across the diamond with developing carry on throws. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, short slide step coming down the mound, compact arm action through the backside with a tight release, creates some running life to fastball and worked up to 83 mph. Quadrupled up on curveball to start an at-bat, up to 66 mph with 11-5 shape, worked around the zone. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball, easy stroke through the zone, occasionally gets onto front side early with weight shift. Best contact when working on a linear plane, generates bat speed through the zone, fast hands, shows strength and jump off the barrel at impact when on time. Very good student. Very commitment to North Carolina State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
