Daniel Schwartz is a 2021 RHP/C with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Sandra Day O'Connor. Ran a 7.20-second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a lean frame that has room to fill and add strength. Has a high leg lift, creating good linear direction to the plate and using the backside well. Has a short and whippy arm action from a three-quarter slot. Fills up the zone with the fastball, flashing some arm-side run at 75-78 miles per hour. Shows some feel for a short slider with sweeping action in the upper-60s, and the pitch can get more depth to create slurvy actions at times. Secondary catcher that starts from a lower set, releasing with some quickness and moving well to gain ground out of the crouch. Has developing arm strength, making accurate throws to second base at 73 miles per hour. Also worked out in the outfield, approaching the ball well and fielding out front with deliberate and clean actions. Makes uphill throws at 77 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter that starts from a wide base and even stance, with a high back elbow and smooth path to contact. Has developing bat speed, using a line drive barrel plane and present feel for the barrel to execute an all fields approach. Swing translates to game action with a hard, line drive base hit.
