Mayson Rodden is a 2023 RHP/3B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 6-2 188 lb. frame from Sorrento, FL who attends Mount Dora Christian Academy. Has a larger frame with some strength present. Ran an 8.50 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked from a low three-quarters arm slot and a longer arm action. His fastball has some cut to it as well. He worked up to 77 mph on the fastball which was firm and commanded well arm-side, but then threw a cutter in the lower-70s with the ability to get it to miss barrels. He showed a curveball that had short and tight depth to it at 68 mph. Killed the spin on a changeup that was up into the low-70s with good arm-side fade. Threw the changeup to left-handed hitters to induce weak contact and get some chases. Worked out in the outfield making one-hop throws to third. Fields the ball outside the shoulders away from the body and throws from a lower slot with some strength behind the throws. Right-handed hitter with a larger frame who was able to get the hands to the ball with strength behind it. Starts pretty upright in the batters' box. Was able to lift the ball with some juice present during his round of BP. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
