Alejandro Rodriguez is a 2020 C/SS, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Wesleyan Christian Academy. Long lanky build with present athleticism. Ran a 7.25 second sixty-yard dash. Showed a low set with quick feet and transfers behind the plate. Showed good arm strength topping out at 80 miles per hour while posting a 1.87 pop time from behind the plate. Also worked out in the infield. Flashed a low out front funnel with solid range and confident glove actions. Displayed aggressive actions when going to and through the ball. Displayed good arm strength with accurate on base carry from a high three-quarter arm slot topping out at 86 miles per hour across the infield. Switch hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a high hand and back elbow set from the left side of the plate. Employs a pull to middle line drive approach with good barrel control creating consistent solid contact. Employs an upright stance with a high hand and back elbow set from the right side of the plate. Showed the ability to drive the ball with authority through the gaps with a gap to gap power approach from the right side. Named to 2019 National Underclass East Top Prospect List.
