Sean Mitchell is a 2022 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Kane, IL who attends Marquette Catholic. Ran a 7.91-second sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with a large frame and strong build. Has clean glove actions in the infield, showcasing slow and deliberate footwork to the ball with accurate arm strength. Makes throws to bases at 76mph. Right-handed hitter that starts from a wide and even stance, with a high back elbow and rotational lower half. Executes a middle of the field to pull-side approach, flashing some juice when on time with the slightly lifted barrel plane through the zone. Also pitched, starting fro the windup with a simple side step into a belt high leg lift. Lands online with good direction in the lower half, showcasing a long and loose arm action from a three-quarter slot. Has some control of the fastball at 75-78mph, mixing speeds well with a curveball that has 11-5 shape and some bite in the low-60s. Repeats the delivery well and also shows the slider as a good third pitch. Good student.
