Andrew Owen is a 2020 RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Sacramento, CA who attends Jesuit. Nice athletic build with good present strength and physicality. Well paced delivery with an easy arm swing leading to an extended high 3/4's arm slot, very loose arm that projects, keeps him mechanics simple and on line while getting over his front side well. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight. Change up was his best secondary pitch this outing with some late fading action. Short breaking slider has mostly a cutter-type break. Athletic right hander with a fast arm and a sound delivery. Development of his breaking ball will be key to his development. Good student, verbal commitment to Southern California.
