Matthew Caudillo is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Langham Creek. Shorter height with a high waist and athletic look that will hold easy bulk as he matures. A Primary catcher, good actions that project with strength. Smooth release with good timing and accurate to the right side of the bag. Can throw with accuracy from the knees as well. A secondary outfielder, has feel for angles and used a consistent release out front, has feel for reads. A right-handed hitter, starts even and slightly open with his base. Uses both a toe tap and floating load to help with timing. Looking to pull the ball and has solid eye hand coordination. Outstanding student.
