Braden Graves is a 2023 SS/2B, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Waco, TX who attends Midway. Recorded a 7.18 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build, good chance to put on additional strength. Primary shortstop, gets into good fielding positions and is very quick laterally. Hands work well and are soft, shows obvious feel and comfortably with the glove. Smooth and athletic actions with sound footwork, has a quick transfer and release with some twitch present. Projects well in the middle infield long term. Right-handed hitter with a narrow stance and a high hand and back elbow set, hands get very deep on the load. Utilizes a small stride forward and has a slight hitch in the hands. Has some quickness to the hands, tended to let the ball get in on his hands in this look, will improve as he gets more comfortable with his timing and connects with the ball out front. Has the athleticism and strength to really improve moving forward. Excellent student.
