Alex Koelling is a 2024 SS/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Mason, OH who attends Mason. Tall and slender frame with projectable build. Primary shortstop with soft hands and pocket awareness. Solid footwork with quick exchange and accurate throws from clean over-the-top slot. Keeps the feet underneath him while moving well through balls with ability to repeat high slot throwing motion. Left-handed hitter with good path and projectable frame to impact the baseball. High-hands set with separation from slightly wider than even base start. Knee-trigger to backside weight shift with hands separation to smooth swing through zone. Line drive middle-of-field approach with barrel awareness and hands out front contact point. Tremendous student.
