Luke Costello is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Fairview, PA who attends Cathedral Prep. Strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, short stride into contact, hits from the ground up and gets into his lower half well, turns his hips hard to help generate bat speed, turns the barrel hard, ball jumps hard off the barrel with consistent 100 mph exit velocities, showed the game ability to drive the ball to the opposite field as well as turn on it. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, throws from a high slot and creates carry on his throw, fields the ball cleanly, can improve the consistency and speed of his exchange and release. Bat is his tool. Very good student, verbal commitment to Wake Forest.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
