Levi Hackman is a 2023 2B/RHP, SS with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Columbia, PA who attends Lancaster Catholic. Recorded a 7.68 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with plenty of time and room to fill out. Primary middle-infielder with deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, developing defensive skills and an accurate throwing arm across the diamond. Incorporates segmented fielding mechanics, fielding deeper and slightly high with developing glove work.
Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher, simple delivery with deliberate pace, slightly coiled leg lift into balance and over the head hand pump to start. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing, topping out at 78 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Confident strike thrower that creates downhill plane to his fastball, while showing the ability to command both sides of the plate with it. Will continue to improve with the addition of a second pitch and continued velocity gains. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Incorporates bat waggle loading mechanism with big weight shift into contact, flashing the ability to create leverage out in front. Lofted stroke with loose hands, present bat speed and solid bat-to-ball skills. Middle-of-the field approach with good feel for the barrel and loud impact when he gets extended. Potential power with addition of more strength. Will continue to improve with minor refinements of skill set and physical maturity. Excellent Student.
