Julian Escalante is a 2027 3B/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-9 146 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Cathedral. Posted a 7.96 in the 60. Primary 3B flashed some young versatility in his defensive tool around the field with athleticism playing well. His ability on the field is fundamental with good awareness making plays, still some younger tendencies present that he should refine very well down the line. Versatile arm was effective flashing pitchability on the mound, the right-hander showed a three pitch mix with sink action on the fastball and developing feel to spin his secondary offerings. Should be an effective secondary arm down room to grow on the mound ahead of him and athleticism present. Right-handed hitter is geared to contact displaying barrel control and creating a lofted path he keeps on plane with playable carry middle to opposite fields. Named to the 2022 13U/14U Southwest Showcase Top Prospects List.
