Mekhi Boykin is a 2022 3B with a 5-7 220 lb. frame from Villa Rica, GA who attends Villa Rica. Medium frame with a stocky build showing strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.14 second sixty yard dash. Primary Third Baseman, showing good first step instincts as he worked well laterally. Confident with the leather as he scooped it up and worked into transfers. Released uphill and proved to have some younger actions throwing as he threw it 75 mph across the infield during drills. Feel for the corner infield showing during his workout. Right-Handed Hitter, starting even with lower hands as he is relaxed in the box. Rhythmic swing as he worked with a shorter stride while showcasing his bat on ball skills. Looks to pull the baseball and did so with intent. Projects some power down the road as he sprayed it on a line during batting practice. Good Student.
