Jake Finch is a 2023 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-8, 125 lb. frame from Lynn Haven, FL who attends A. Crawford Mosley. Small frame and build with room to fill. Ran a 8.30 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in both the infield and outfield. At shortstop, displayed clean, quick footwork with some smooth fielding actions fielding most repetitions out front of his body. Has range and first step quickness with awareness. Strength is still developing on his throws yet he is accurate across the diamond when he gets it out. Secondary righthanded pitcher, who has a slow tempo to his delivery with clean mechanics and delivers from a consistent 3/4 arm slot. Fluid arm action with some extension out front when he gets it right. Up to 68 on the gun. Worked out in the outfield as well, where he displayed quick, online footwork and clean throws to bases. Lefthanded hitter sets up with a square stance and low hands. Some developing hand-eye coordination present with some line drive result. Uses the middle of the field and opposite field often. Excellent student.
