Christopher Savage is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 5-10 168 lb. frame from Burleson, TX who attends Burleson. Ran a 7.51 second sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with a medium frame and build. Has quick feet that allow for easy positioning to field, funneling out front with sure hands and fundamental glove actions. Shows some comfortable actions around the bag, and has developing arm strength with accurate throws at 76 miles per hour. Has a straight stance at the plate, with a low hand set and some present bat speed. Stays on the backside with rotational actions in the lower half, and shows the ability to drive the ball down in the zone. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch, with a belt high leg lift. Creates good linear direction down the mound, landing on line at foot strike before falling slightly to the glove side at finish. Has a short and compact arm stroke from an over the top slot, creating some downward plane to the fastball at 71-to-75 miles per hour. Has developing feel to spin a curveball with 11-5 shape and nice depth at 63 miles per hour. Really does a good job of pitching low in the zone, mixing speeds well to get outs. Good student.
