Tyson Moravec is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-5 110 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends First Colonial. Medium, square shouldered frame, will continue to fill out and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.67 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and picked the backhand well, works through the ball some with lower half, rounded ball up the middle well, long arm action through the back, arm strength will continue to develop on throws across. Also pitched, side step into a high leg lift, gets tall on backside during gather with some drop and drive to lower half mechanics; compact arm action with a three-quarters release point. Fastball shows short sink to it up to 61 mph, lands on line with strike foot and worked around the zone, pitched exclusively off of fastball. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Subtle stride moving into contact, looks to lift with swing path and occasionally gets uphill. Works to all fields with contact, best to pull side, full swing path through the zone, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into swing. Excellent student.
