Tyler Blankenship is a 2021 3B/RHP, 2B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Roseville, CA who attends Woodcreek. He ran a 7.35 second sixty. A primary third baseman with an athletic build. On the infield he displayed a good feel for the glove, he gets good carry on his throws with a quick release and good athleticism on the move. On the mound he works from the first base side of the rubber with good arm speed and a fastball at 82-85 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot with some deception coming out of the hand. the curveball showed 11-5 shape landing in the zone a good bit while the changeup maintains arm speed in the upper 70's mostly. Left-handed hitter, starts even with a lower hand set, the barrel works on an uphill plane getting longer at times, worked best to the middle of the field when the front side stays connected. Excellent student.
