Owen Jenkins is a 2025 C/UT with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Versailles, KY who attends Lexington Catholic. Big and strong athletic build. Very good runner for a catcher and for his size, 6.54 in the sixty. Sets up low and flexible behind the plate, clean transfers and gains ground into his throws, has big raw arm strength from a over the top arm slot, still developing consistency in his throwing mechanics. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base and a straight stance, fires his hands hard and fast, develops outstanding bat speed, creates back spin, lived at 105+ mph exit velos in batting practice and topped out at 112 mph, repeated his timing and path very well. Impressive athlete with big tools to further refine. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Louisville. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
