Christian Rossi is a 2007 outfielder/left handed pitcher from Baton Rouge, LA, medium build at 5-7 140 lbs. Defensively, he showed very athletic actions and always got his body into good throwing position with his feet. He showed good range and a long clean arm that produced online throws from the outfield. He hits from a narrow upright stance and has a short quick stroke. His swing plane has slight loft and he is a contact type hitter. On the mound, he threw with an overhand arm slot from an upright delivery that showed good extension. He throws with a full arm action that shows stiffness. He threw a fastball at 78 mph with good downward plane. He also showed a nice curveball with 12-6 break that had sharpness at 65 mph. He is a young player with good potential and he is a definite follow for 2007. Christian is a good student.
