James Wilson is a 2022 RHP with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends Humberside C.I.. Works from the stretch with a leg lift start and a good hip and lower half coil, compact arm action with a tight 3/4's arm slot, has some deception to his delivery and the ball gets on hitters quickly. Fastball topped out at 91 mph early, worked mostly in the upper 80's, works arm side mostly with good command of the fastball, gets hard run and sink at times. Change up was a good second pitch for him, mostly straight with occasional tumble, has good feel for throwing it for strikes. Short soft slider can improve its power and spin. Velocity up significantly since last year. Good student, signed with Walters State CC. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
