Jacob Avery is a 2025 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Swainsboro, GA who attends Bulloch Academy. Medium build with some present strength. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well and has a good idea on his footwork, more of a second base arm action and arm strength at this point. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from an even balanced stance with a hanging front leg timer, upper body generated swing, tends to get the bat out early, mostly pull side contact, can develop more bat speed with increased lower half use. Also pitched, high leg raise delivery to a high 3/4's arm slot, tends to fall off hard to first base on release but did a good job of throwing strikes. Fastball worked in the mid 70's with some cutting life due to his mechanics. Curveball was his pitch, has good shape and depth and created some swing and miss. Excellent student.
