Antonio Candelaria is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from St Pauls, NC who attends Saint Pauls. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.09 runner in the sixty, has good body life behind the plate defensively, comes out his crouch well and has agility shifting, compact arm action, repeats his footwork and exchange very well leading to accurate throws, has mature actions behind the plate. Also plays the outfield and has the actions and athleticism to be a good outfielder as well. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high back elbow load and an extended uphill swing, has some strength at the ball and present bat speed, swings hard and is an aggressive hitter, flashes pull power.
