KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Delaney Krogman is a 5'8, class of 2023, C/IF from Muscatine, IA who attends Muscatine HS. Delaney is a noticeably strong, veteran, upper class player, who shows solid ability that could give her the opportunity to play at the next level. She ran a 3.65 20-yard dash with a 1.24 5-yard split. A primary catcher, Delaney shows very consistent, next level projectable ability. She has more of a side-saddle set up that she appears comfortable with. Her glove is sure and she transitions well. Her 51-mph throws are quick and certain. Her 1.97 pop time is impressive. Nice round behind the plate. Delaney also took a turn on the infield and shows certain skill there, too. Her quick footwork is noticeable. She positions well and plays with some rhythm through the fielding action. Her hands are sure and her glove plays, She transitions well and her 52-mph throws are firm and routinely accurate. Solid college potential at multiple defensive positions. At the plate, this RHH has a fairly narrow and slightly open stance. She appears very relaxed which allows her operation to work well. Her strength is very obvious at he plate. When she extends and finishes her swing, her hit ability is sound. She has an all-fields approach and when on time and on plane, she can utilize her obvious strength to impact the ball. Delaney has two years remaining in her HS and travel ball careers. She can really elevate her already sound game in that time. Her skill set is very good now and has a chance to really make a big jump moving forward. Really impressive effort and energy! Promising future!
