Nate Conner is a 2023 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Johnson City, TN who attends Science Hill. Solid large frame with present strength and muscularity. Ran the 60 yard dash 7.21 seconds. Primary position IF with an aggressive approach to the ball and glove actions that work around the bag. Very active with his feet and the arm is plenty good as he threw the ball up to 82 mph. Worked out as well in the OF and played with high energy getting to the ball quickly. Utilized his footwork and transition to get his arm in position to play at a high level, reaching 84 mph on outfield throws. Repeatedly made strong, accurate one hop throws to the bag. Left handed hitter with a big load to his backside before creating a big stride that he would hang to ensure timing. Starts with very high hands and does burry them behind him at times causing the bat to lag. Uses a pull oriented approach getting on plane working the ball into the air with authority. Swing played even better in game with consistent barrels and very loud contact. LHP as well, using a full wind up with long step back and going over the head with the hands. Strong lower half gets him down the mound and when he doesn't tilt upper body towards 3B gets extended very well creating running action on the FB that peaked at 80 mph. The secondary pitch was a two plane CB that needs some refining but has potential to be a real out pitch. Good all around player and tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
