TK Perkins is a 2023 SS/RHP/C with a 5-10 178 lb. frame from Lake Stevens, WA who attends Lake Stevens High School. Strong athletic build, looks like a primary catcher. Right handed hitter, big hand drop load to start his swing, strong enough to work through it, good lower half shift and torque to drive his swing, swings hard and is looking to drive the ball, has good extension and some lift in his swing, creates good bat speed and can impact the baseball, has the hitting tools to continue to improve. 7.32 runner in the sixty. Has balanced athletic actions on defense in the infield, keeps his feet active, good glove to hand exchange, may profile best at second base in the future. Also pitched, full hands over head delivery with a big side step across the rubber, drop and drive lower half mechanics, some energy at release that can impact his direction to release, made adjustments well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight. Threw both a curveball and slider and both were good pitches for him with tight spin and some feel, also developing a change up. Solid overall athlete with strength, will continue to improve with repetitions. Good student.
