James Haupt is a 2026 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Canton, OH. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, long limbs with additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front with two hands, plays with energy to actions and has a quick release, will continue to refine mechanics, shows arm strength and carry with accuracy to the intended base. Graded out best on the mound in this look, high leg raise with a back turn at top, shorter stride coming down the mound while working to a high three-quarters to over-the-top release point. Worked mostly off of the fastball, lived in the 80-83 mph range with angle and some sinking life down in the zone. Works on top of the ball well and shows command to either side; flashed a short curveball up to 66 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Long and loose swing path through the zone, gets extended out front and looks to lift at point of contact, occasionally gets uphill but incorporates physical strength well, shows a handle for the barrel and showed ability to work to all fields with a double to the opposite field in live action.
