AJ Rataic is a 2008 3B/P/IF from East Catholic HS, residing in East Hartford, Connecticut, with a 5'10"/175 pound frame. AJ has a solid frame. He hits from a slightly open stance with a no stride approach. Rataic has solid hands and solid bat speed. He as a line drive swing plane and centers the ball well. His swing will get long at times. AJ has soft hands in the infield with a solid arm at 82 mph. He has good range at third base and good actions defensively. Rataic pithches from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action. He has solid mechanics with some effort in his delivery. He does rush his delivery at times and needs to work on his command. AJ has solid command of his 84 mph fastball and a solid 11-5 curveball at 72 mph. He mixes in a 76 mph slider and his changeup has sink at 75 mph.
