2019 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Alex Gonzalez is a 2021 C/3B, SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Ocoee, FL who attends Legacy Charter School. Recorded a 7.81 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame and build with room to fill out and add strength. Primary catcher with soft receiving skills and an elongated transfer. Gains ground toward the target with arm strength recorded up to 71 mph. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance, remains upright, with an uphill path. High hand set, high back elbow, and gets the barrel in and out of the zone quickly. High finish with the barrel head and has some strength through contact. Power will continue to improve with added strength. Good student.
