2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
C.J is a 2005 grad from Cypress High School in Southern California. He stands 6'3 180 lbs and is a tall, strong kid with long arms and legs. He ran a good 60 yard time (7.10) with fluid strides and easy effort. C.J. is balanced in the outfield, gathers himself well before he catches groundballs and comes up ready to throw. He swings a quality bat and he has the ability to fight off tough pitches. C.J. used his hands very well in his swing and showed that he has the ability to handle wood in the future. Defensively, C.J. also showed a quality OF arm at 85-86 mph. Overall, C.J. is a polished player with the body and projection that scouts love. He's a player who should be able to play high Division I in college and develop into a solid professional draft.
