Owen Hammond is a 2028 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MI who attends H.H. Dow. Big and strong physical build. Left handed hitter, has good rhythm to his swing, long and extended swing with some lift out front, inconsistent timing at present, can drive the ball to the pull side when he's connected and on time, big power projection as he continue to get stronger and polish his swing. 8.29 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, arm strength and ability to change slots is his best defensive tool, makes accurate throws, will have to continue to work on his agility and lower half quickness to stay at third. Also plays first base with the same type of skill/tool set. Took a turn on the mound, short hybrid wind up with a long and loose arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot, some lower half drive to the plate with a long stride into release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with some sinking action. Threw both a curveball and slider, tended to let up on the curveball and throw the slider with more conviction and better break, also flashed a change up. Has a chance as a two-way talent. Excellent student.
