2020 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase (Saturday)
Kyle Rossy is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Glen Ellyn, IL who attends Glenbard West. Primary right-handed pitcher with a tall and athletic frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Starts from the windup with a small side step into a belt high leg lift, showcasing tall and fall actions down the mound. Has a long and loose arm action from a lower, three-quarter slot, falling slightly to the glove side at times that results in occasional cut to the fastball. When on time and online, the fastball at 80-85 miles per hour shows big arm-side life which creates a tough look for right-handed hitters. Shows good feel for a slider with sharp bite at 70 miles per hour, generating swings and misses when on time and out front. Showcases developing command of the strike zone, but the entire operation projects for more. Good student. Named to 2020 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase, Top Prospect List.
