Aiden Demarquez is a 2022 SS/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Branham. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill. Rran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, developing actions to the backhand, shows quick feet going up the middle and on the charge, compact arm action, energy to actions, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, well paced delivery, slight pause over the rubber and engages backside well coming down the mound; generates big running life to fastball, topped out at 76 mph and worked exclusively off of it, worked within the zone nicely. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate, loads hands high at start. Handsy swing, occasionally mistimed with components, works on. a linear path and creates line drive contact off of the barrel, projects with additional extension out front. Very good student.
