2022 Spring Midwest Workout Showcase (April 16)
Kyler Hackfort is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny Centennial. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has nice lower half actions and quickness, sets up low and stays low in his shifting and throwing, gains ground well throwing, long transfer and arm action with developing arm strength, good athlete who projects to improve with additional strength. Right handed hitter, has a sound approach at the plate with a short line drive swing plane, has some present bat speed and the ability to impact the baseball, repeats his timing and mechanics well. Going to keep improving in all areas. Good student.
