Chris Woodson is a 2028 OF/LHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Corona. Long lean frame. In the outfield, he closes well with a few extra steps into the release. Arm creates some carry from a three-quarters release. Fields off to the side. Switch hitter, from the left side, its a square stance with medium base. Heel turn load with simple parts to the stroke. Path is level to lofted with a middle of the field line drive oriented approach. From the right-side, its mirrored set up. Struggles to get off the backside over here. Approach was similar. On the mound, its a high kick and some sink into the backside, full arm swing with high three-quarters release. Fastball plays true with carry. Curveball has downer action and big depth. Getting whiffs on it. Hitters are struggling to square. Slider has one plane horizontal action but an effective shape L/L. Flashed a straight change, maintains arm speed. Pitches backwards frequently, any pitch any count type. Low FB usage. High upside on the mound. 7.16 60-yard. Excellent student.
