Zane Underwood is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from New Waverly, TX who attends Alpha Omega Academy. Tall, lean frame with long levers and a high waist. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, small side step into a belt high leg lift out of the windup, long and online arm action in the back to a three-quarters slot. Pounded the zone with a great two pitch mix. Generated hard arm-side life on the fastball, running it on right-handed hitters hands, up to 81 mph (2062 RPM) and worked in the 77-80 range. Confident spinning sharp slider with horizontal shape, up to 72 mph (2600 RPM). Right-handed hitter, medium base with high hands, small stride out into contact, controlled and balanced swing with downhill barrel path and solid feel for the barrel. Impacts to the middle of the field when in rhythm. Secondary outfielder, charges in hard, breaks down and fields with two hand funnel out front, loose arm and throws come out of the hand well, developing accuracy, recorded throws up to 80 mph.
