Jonathan Marte is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from Elizabeth, NJ who attends 21St Century Learning Academy Charter. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, leg kick up to belt, long and quick arm action through the backside. Heavy fastball that jumped on hitters with running life, topped out at 85 mph and got in on the hands of right-handed batters. Can get more out of lower half in drive towards the plate, tends to fall off to first base side. Curveball shows 12-6 shape with late bite and depth to it. Filled the zone with fastball and showed some feel for the breaker. Very good student. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
