Anthony Houselog is a 2022 3B/RHP, C with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Hempstead. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary third baseman with aggressive footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels from a deeper position and worked through exchange with extended actions. Released from a three-quarters slot created on line carry to the bag at 77 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance. Deep hand load and works to contact on a looser path. Utilized an uphill barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and flashed some carry to the gaps when on time and squared. Also pitched utilizing a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Smooth arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball comes out of hand cleanly producing occasional run to arm side in the mid 70's, topped at 76 mph. Curveball showed 10/5 shape with looser spin and some depth when staying on top of offering in the upper 60's. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a changeup offering that generated some sink in the low 70's. Good student as well.
